Campaign for Better Transport is the leading transport NGO. Our compelling arguments and ideas have won us the support of national decision-makers and local activists, enabling us to secure transport policies and programmes that improve people's lives and reduce environmental impact
We work to find specific solutions so that decision-makers have real and practical options. Often, we bring innovative ideas to this country – for example, we introduced travel plans and home zones and have helped them to become part of the mainstream.
Having been around 35 years, we’ve learnt the best ways to secure change. Our methods include high-level lobbying, public campaigning and media work.
We publish well-respected and cogent policy research, organise seminars and support local activists. We work in partnership to find positive, practical solutions for making transport better with a broad range of NGOs, businesses, trade unions, governments, political parties local campaign groups and individual campaigners.
