The Ramblers is Britain's biggest walking charity. It works to promote walking, to improve conditions and combat social alienation for everyone who walks in England, Scotland and Wales, with 137,000 members and over 5,000 active volunteers.
Although best known for work around countryside leisure walking, it is committed to promoting walking to everyone, including local, everyday walking for health and wellbeing in urban as well as rural areas.
As part of the consortium, the Ramblers run five local projects and one nationwide ‘DIY’ online campaign.
Get Walking Keep Walking DIY helps people improve their health and well-being by walking regularly and independently from their doorsteps.
