Rachel Hallett works as a Bike It officer in 11 schools across Birmingham
Rachel has just finished her first year with Bike It schools. All schools have embraced as many Bike It activities as possible and many have seen cycling levels more than double.
The range of activities has included Dr Bike sessions, Bike to School days, Bike It reward cards, the 'Round the World Virtual Bike Race' with Alastair Humphries, Bike breakfasts, learning to ride, bling your bike competitions, playground skills, Bikeability training, classroom sessions, assemblies and many more. The six most successful schools will now continue independently of Rachel’s support, which has opened the door for six new schools.
