Walking Works

Nationwide

Walking Works is a new campaign from Living Streets, which encourages more people to walk to and from work, and to walk more during their working day.

The campaign reaches out to employees across England to provide them with opportunities to walk to work.

Using national events such as Walk to Work Day, schemes such as Walk Champions and online support for employees who pledge to walk more, Living Streets will ensure that thousands of people take their first steps towards a more active commute to work.

Through the campaign, Living Streets also gives support to businesses to help them promote walking. By providing information and materials that highlight walking as a great way to get to work, employers can take the first step towards promoting walking to their employees.

We also give advice on how to promote walking within a business as well as guidance on how policies, interventions and incentives can encourage employees to walk to work.
